Properties of molybdenum sheet

Molybdenum is most widely used in the processing industry. The mold used at high temperature is heated and the mechanical alternating stress leads to the fatigue crack of the material. Using molybdenum or molybdenum based alloy with small coefficient of thermal expansion, strong thermal conductivity and good high temperature strength can greatly prolong the service life of the die. When g.k.n company of UK dies exquisite parts such as watch case, the service life can reach 5000 times, generally 3000 times. In bearing production, tungsten plate, tungsten crucible and molybdenum crucible adopt molybdenum alloy mold, which is 15 times longer than the original high-speed steel and bearing steel mold.

When isothermal forging the refractory superalloy, the molybdenum alloy die can be used at 1200 ℃. Due to its high hardness and high cold and hot fatigue strength, molybdenum based alloy is often used as plug and die on seamless pipe piercing machine, and its life is hundreds of times longer than that of 3Cr2W8V die steel. Molybdenum sheet is divided into light molybdenum sheet (PCC) and molybdenum sheet (GCC).

The characteristic of molybdenum sheet is that it can manually control the color, particle size, surface characteristics, dispersion, rheology, thixotropy and crystal form. Moreover, molybdenum sheet has high chemical purity, strong chemical inertia and good thermal stability, and will not decompose below 400 ℃. In addition, molybdenum sheet also has the advantages of low oil absorption rate, low hardness, small wear value, non-toxic, odorless, tasteless, good dispersion and so on.
