Tungsten copper electrode head stable conductivity and thermal conductivity

Tungsten copper is an alloy of tungsten and copper, using the technology of isostatic pressing, high-temperature sintering of tungsten framework, and solution infiltration of copper.

(1) Resistance welding electrodes summarize the advantages of tungsten and copper, including high temperature resistance, arc erosion resistance, high strength, high specific gravity, good conductivity and thermal conductivity, easy cutting and production, and sweat cooling properties. Due to the high hardness, high melting point, and anti adhesion characteristics of tungsten, they are often used as projection welding and butt welding electrodes with certain wear resistance and high temperature resistance.

(2) When electric spark electrodes are used for molds made of tungsten steel and high-temperature resistant superhard alloys that require electrical erosion, ordinary electrodes have high losses and slow speeds. The high corrosion rate, low loss rate, accurate electrode shape, and excellent manufacturing function of tungsten copper can greatly improve the accuracy of the produced parts.

(3) During the operation of high-voltage vacuum discharge tubes, the temperature of the contact material will increase by several thousand degrees Celsius in just a few seconds. And tungsten copper’s high anti ablation function, high resistance, outstanding conductivity and thermal conductivity provide necessary conditions for the stable operation of discharge tubes.

(4) Electronic packaging materials have both the low expansion characteristics of tungsten and the high thermal conductivity characteristics of copper. Their thermal expansion coefficient and conductivity can be modified by adjusting the composition of the material, which provides convenience for the use of the material.

1. Electrical discharge machining: Copper tungsten alloy electrodes are not easily deformed by heat during electrical discharge machining, which can ensure machining accuracy;

2. Semiconductor manufacturing: Copper tungsten alloy electrodes are used in semiconductor manufacturing to ensure accuracy and stability;

3. High power electrical appliances: Copper tungsten alloy electrodes are suitable for use in high-power electrical appliances, ensuring long-term stable operation.
